General: 
Primary responsibility shall be the instruction of students. Instruction shall include student guidance, discipline, welfare, and safety as well as effective teaching of the assigned subjects.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Appropriate Certification.
- Successful completion of a teacher certification program at an accredited college or university.
- Successful completion of highly qualified ("HQ") criteria including praxis requirements for appropriate teaching field.
- Successful student teaching, intern teaching, or past experience.
- Demonstrated content knowledge for subjects/levels being taught.
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff verbally and in writing.

- Ability to maintain acceptable student behavior.

Job Description: 

The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) position provide students, parents, teachers, and other concerned parties a single point of contact to address student needs and to ensure that every student has the opportunity for a free and appropriate public education.

The SSC works collaboratively with classroom teachers, support providers, parents and community members to evaluate and determine the strengths and needs of all students. Design, implementation, and support for a strong, school-wide system of Response to Intervention (RTI) is an essential function of the SSC.

In addition to guiding the student support and facilitating the special education pre-referral process, the SSC performs a variety of tasks and activities to assist the school in implementing school based services for all students.

Job Description: 

Public Charter School Commission - Financial Performance Manager

The State Public Charter School Commission, a new state agency, seeks a Financial Performance Manager. The Commission is a nine-member body appointed by the Board of Education that is responsible for the authorizing and oversight of Hawaii’s public charter schools. The Financial Performance Manager reports directly to the Commission Executive Director and plans, directs, and administers financial monitoring and oversight, accounting, budget, and procurement activities and systems to serve the Commission and the statewide charter school system.

Position responsible for providing accounting services, preparing and monitoring budgets, monitoring fiscal performance of charter schools, communicating with charter schools on financial performance and budgeting, overseeing audits, producing financial reports, managing staff, and acting as a liaison with other state agencies including the Departments of Education, Budget and Finance, and Accounting and General Services.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in professional fiscal management, accounting, and/or auditing that included preparation or administering of budgets, coordinating and assigning work, evaluating performance, and providing technical assistance or supervision. Requires strong oral and written communication skills and bachelor's degree with at least 12 semester hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects.
